Rathin Kanji

Kolkata based artist was born in 1970. He was a Fulbright Visiting Research Fellow at Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design, Ann Arbor, University of Michigan, USA, 2004. He did Post-Graduation in Painting from Kala Bhavan, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, India in 2002. Recipient of Fulbright Fellowship, USA (2003-2004); Vermont Residency Fellowship, USA in 2004; Junior Research Fellowship, Govt. of India (1998-2000).

Participated at Art Basel, Miami & Hong Kong, and other Art Fair in Dubai, New York, Thessaloniki, Paris & Rome. Exhibited at 11th Triennale Mondiale de l’Estampe Chamalières, France; Adana Biennale, Turkey. Installations & New Media project, CIMA Kolkata. He did solo shows at Warren Robbins Gallery, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Aicon Gallery, New York and Palo Alto USA; Can Xalant, Barcelona; Gallery Sincresis D’A Art Space, Florence; Ruse Art Gallery, Bulgaria. Works are in collection of (AMAC) Association Mouvement d'Art Contemporain, France; Benson & Hedges; Kozani Museum of the Arts, Greece; Museum of Bengal Modern Art, Kolkata; Bank of America in London; (UMMA) Museum of Art, Michigan, USA.
